The “double” in Boatyard Double Gin refers to the distillation process and the approach of placing juniper at both the beginning and end of the process.

The juniper is first rested in the grain still in the still along with other organic herbs.

Our final distillate is then passed through juniper once more in the steam chamber.

This double contact method, which Dutch juniper distillers would call “dubbel gebeide genever,” results in a more intense juniper flavor.
